KillerHeels

Aidan: Don't take this the wrong way, but this place could use a little work.
Carrie: I know but I can't afford it.
Aidan: You've got eighty thousand bucks worth of shoes over there.
Carrie: I needed those!
"Sex and the City"

Let's be honest! First thing you do when you roll out of bed is check your blackberry, Iphone, or razor (yes, people are still using them). And isn't it the best feeling in the world when you have a text from one of your favorite people in Los Angeles...Jason, the shoe guy from Barney's!! Every girl needs a Jason in her life. He's good looking, funny, an awesome friend and he works in the designer shoe section at Barney's (all the qualities necessary for a platonic relationship with someone of the opposite sex). He keeps me updated on all the new and sexy Christian Louboutin's that come in the store. He is the epitome of "a girls best friend", he knows what I like, we never fight (except if he sells a size 6 of a killer pair of heels that I wanted to Demi Moore) and when I go see him we have lunch at my favorite spot, Yu n Mi Sushi.
It was love at first sight when I first saw the Greissimo in Minthe. The way the color popped against my olive skin, the dipped vamp, the covered platform, the supplest suede, the 5 inch heel...I had to make them mine. Just walking around the store, I knew we were a perfect fit. Our love affair was short lived when I realized they were $895. I had encountered love like this before and I knew breaking away wasn't going to be easy.
Since my credit cards had been getting out of hand, I enlisted my girlfriend Jamie to come along and talk me out of any major purchases. Unfortunately for me and my new love, Greissimo, she was very good at making me feel guilty. I thought to myself, why didn't I go shopping alone, or what if I just drop her off and go back to the store and get them. She doesn't even have to know about it. I could wear them when I'm out of town and not explain myself to her, or I could conveniently only wear them when she wasn't going to be around. I knew they were bad for me, but I couldn't stop thinking about them. I'd wake up in cold sweats at night, searching my apartment, like something was missing, realizing 30 minutes later that I was looking for my Greissimo's I never purchased, the ones that I let get away, the ones that just because I knew they were bad for me, didn't mean that I shouldn't give them a chance. So finally justifying the purchase (it was going to be my birthday present to myself) I was off to Beverly Hills to finally experience what I had been wanting and waiting and dreaming of for a month, only to be crushed with the fact that while I was out to lunch with Jason, the size 6 had been sold to someone else.

Doggie Fashion Faux "paw"

Faux pas: a violation of accepted social norms. It is derived from the French, meaning "false step".

I saw this woman carrying her dog around Barney's in Beverly Hills today and had to post this.
